- Quality of medical products (including drugs and specialized food)
- Quality of non-medical products
- Shelf life
- Delivery lead time
- Availability
- Price
- Flexibility

Criteria for suppliers
The MSF Amsterdam Procurement Unit currently deals with more than 150 suppliers, together supplying around 4,800 items. The number of items sourced from one supplier can vary from one to many. In general MSF asks its suppliers, both new and existing, to meet a list of requirements.
